Best Review on Tenergy Universal Smart Charger Battery
This is a really nice no-frills smart charger. The base connector is a large timya (I know that's spelled wrong), polarized for airsoft batteries. It comes with a Large AEG/Charger-Small Battery connector and a Large AEG/Charger-two alligator clips
The connectors work fine. A little stiff, but that doesn't really matter.
Comes with the Large AEG-small battery. Buy this with a Small AEG-Large battery for two-way compatibility. I can use my small-type 8.4V in my large-type M4 and my large-type 9.6V in my mini-type Thompson.
Also comes with alligator clips for true universal use. I've charged some other batteries with them and they work fine.
the amperage selector is nice because you can choose the charge speed. Slower is best for smaller batteries (lower Mah) or if you're worried about overheating. The faster setting will charge a fried (completely dead) 3800 Mah battery (very large capacity) in a little over two hours, (1800Ma x 2hours = 3600 mah). Compared to 4-6 hours for a standard charger, that's lightning quick
standard size batteries (around 1100-1600 mah) will carge in 1-2 hours, or in 45 mins-1 hour on the faster setting.
the calculations above are maximum times. If you charge your batteries after every use or every few days/once a week, you won't need to charge them very long at all. Because it's a smart charger, there's no problem with just leaving it on overnight or forgetting about it.
I have nothing but good things to say about this charger. It's fairly inexpensive, only about twice as much as a traditional charger. That's 10x justified because you can use it for all your battery charging needs :D

BalasHapusI have an 9.6 volt battery for my classic army p90, the battery is an intellect 1600 and my charger is a tenergy universal smart charger and is 7.2 to 12 v charger and recently my battery has been losing charge when im not even using it and doesnt power the gun, yet when i pull the trigger the battery gets really hot which means its not dead right? so what can i do to fix the problem?
BalasHapusIm getting an echo1 mp5 and want to get a better battery for it... it comes with a 8.4v. 1500mAH battery but theres a really good deal on a 8.4v 3800 mAH battery... would using this battery damage my gun? could i use the charger that it came with to power the new battery?
BalasHapusOn the charger it says : Output: 8.4v DC 250mA. what does that mean? Am i suppose to divide 2000 by 250? The battery is NI-MH. Also i charged it up before using a friends smart charger so it's not the first time. But after the day of airsoft the battery wasn't dead yet, so i don't know how much is left. I heard i should just charge it until it gets warm? What should i do?
