Read First Before Buy Bushnell Sportview 20 60x60mm Spotting Scope
I am extremely happy with it so far and haven't had any focusing issues. Some reviews say low light may hinder clarity but haven't had a problem. I have used it for 0-300 yds so far and had no issues. It is used primarily for the shooting range and stays on the bench. I would not use this any other way than on a bench, table, or something stationary as it his hardly inconspicuous and large. Even with it's size, it is still light and has a plastic hard case.
I read the reviews prior to buying this and found some people have had problems not being able to focus at all. Maybe they needed to read the instructions because there is a fine tuning ring(larger of the two adjustable rings, not to be confused with magnification ring). Also, my version was made in China and not Russia(some older review from 2009)

I highly recommend this product. Works, well built, nice fit and finish.
This spotting scope seems to be very good for the money, it feels good and solid. The power is pretty impressive as well. 60x magnification sounds like a lot, but its so much more than you realize...
BalasHapusMy only complaint is that there is no rubber eye peice. It does not have rubber peices contoured to your face like binoculars do.
A minor complaint really...
I have not taken it to the shooting range to try it out yet, though I have no doubt it will work excellent for my purpose.
Overall it was a great deal, good product, free shipping, $30 off (due to getting the amazon CC).
very content!
I just recently bought this scope and wasted no time taking it to the range. this is a very nice scope. I was so frustrated reading the reviews on the spotting scopes. it seems like no one was mentioning the one thing I most wanted to know. How clear is the image at 200 yards. Can you clearly see bullet holes at 200 yards. Well for all you guys out there like me wanting the answer to this question, yes!! I can see very clearly all hits in the target at 200 yards. If you are looking for a low cost spotting scope that will allow you to see your hits clearly at 200 yards this is it. Everyone seemed to mention only 100 yard views in their reviews. Well here is a 200 yard review. the tripod is short but I dont care about that. As long as the hits show up nice and clear at 200 yards im happy. It might be helpful if the future reviews submitted included info on at least 200 yard clearity. Im sure im not the only person out there who would appreciate this info included in the reviews. I will also mention that the clearity at 100 yards is also excellent. I would have mentioned 300 yards except that I never shoot at that range. I may
BalasHapushowever try it at 300 and give another review later. this scope gets 5 stars from me. hope this review is helpful.
I have now tried this spotting scope at 300 yards. this is the scoop. If you use a high visablity target like the ones that show rings of color around the bullet holes when hit you will be able to see your hits at 300 yards with this scope. I refer to the targets that show hits of flourescent green or yellow or orange. if however you use regular ordinary paper targets you will not be able to make out the bullet holes. If you are going to use ordinary paper targets at 300 yards I would recommend you invest in a more expensive scope.
BalasHapusMy husband was absolutely delighted with this purchase as a Christmas gift. He is in a range shooting club and he loves it.
BalasHapusBought this for my dad and he loves it...so far. Hoping to keep it that way :) has great optics and is an amazing buy for the price
BalasHapusI have a couple of bird feeders in my yard, sometimes I could not tell exactly which birds were visiting the feeders because
BalasHapusmy binocular were not good enough to see the detail on the wings, beaks, ect. This Spotting scope is fantastic. I watch the birds from my living room, through my windows, that have screens, and I can zoom and focus on the bird and ID them without any problem, I can even see the tiniest details. Awesome product.
A little large for a spoting scope, but I knew that when I bought it. Optics are fine for the price, and the tripod is flimsy but usable, but I don't think anyone should expect more unless they pay more. I think it is a good value. Perfectly usable for wildlife with a taller tripod, but I think you need an angled eyepiece for sky-watching.
