Read First Before Buy Front Degree Rapid Transition Backup
As a left handed shooter it is difficult to find accessories that work. I purchased these BUIS for my ruger 10/22 and mounted them on a tapco intrafuse stock. They performed exactly as described, and as they were mounted on a .22 rifle the recoil has not had any adverse effects like popping up on their own or rattling off.
These take up very little space on the rail and seemed to work no matter where they were mounted as long as there was a few inches between them. these are light weight, easy to use, low profile and sturdy. They provide a great back up to a battery powered sight system as well as allowing for close quarters aiming at a moments notice. You won't be shooting tight groups with these but you will hit what you are aiming at for sure.
For a paintball gun, BB, airsoft and small caliber rifles these sights will not disappoint. I have not tried them on a high powered rifle so can't attest to their performance and reliability yet.

20 plus years of spec op works in the military. I have had the opportunity to use a variety of weapons and accessories. What is always needed is a backup for everything. Batteries fail, scopes fog up ect. A good set of iron sites are crucial. Problem has always been the regular m16/m4 iron sites were in the way of the optics we use now. The higher you position any site above the barrel the more drastically it alters the point of aim/point of impact. Now that flat top receivers are the norm and manual sites having the ability to flip down it fixed alot of the problems. Now in the areas our military is operating, we use a variety of lasers, sites, site magnifiers, lights and sometimes even video cameras. The top rail was getting pretty jammed, with the advent of 45� manual sites and mounts, it has help free up save especially since we have moved to shorter weapons for use in tight areas. This set of sites I purchased for my personal m4 I keep at home and they feel and operate as well as my military issued set. I have maybe 200 rounds with them on practicing with a local swat team in cab and they have withstood the test. The mount up solid and true. Mounting hardware is excellent and flip works very well with no noticeable negative movement. I recommend these for L.E. as well as anyone wanting a nice side mount site.
