Read First Before Buy KWA Blowback Airsoft Pistol airsoft
Almost everything about this AIRSOFT pistol is correct, even breaking it down. It measures, looks, feels and behaves just like the real HK45 pistol, and its fun in games or when used in learning or practicing safely for using the real thing. The action locks open when the magazine is empty. there's slight recoil. the safety, slide lease, mag release, maintenance, disassembly, etc. are all the same as the actual pistol. There's even a barrel o-ring for muzzle lockup just like the actual pistol. It's really amazingly similar, so much so that I think HK must have provided the specs to this manufacturer and probably approved it as a licensed replica.
My unit came with a threaded barrel for use with suppressers. I didn't order it that way, but it was a nice surprise. The threading is safety orange and will identify the pistol as an AIRSOFT unit. It's an excellent safety feature because the pistol looks too real otherwise. If you're gifting this to a juvenile, don't allow them to attempt removal of the orange barrel tip. Sorry for stating the obvious, but I've seen AIRSOFT players do this to my bewilderment.
Conclusion: if you're looking for a realistically behaving semi-automatic pistol for training or for AIRSOFT games, this is a great option. Just like with the real thing, be safe, responsible, and always, always, always wear eye protection at all times.
